Meet Mary

Mary DiSomma, an enthusiastic and imaginative baker of cookies, is the author and publisher of A Gift of Cookies: Recipes to Share with Family & Friends. She is also a philanthropist, podiatrist, entrepreneur, and mother of four grown children.

 

It Began with Family

Mary began her baking journey while growing up in an Italian-American family in Chicago, Illinois. Alongside her mother, grandmothers, and aunts—her “cooking school,” as she calls it—Mary picked up valuable tips and techniques that she happily shares with readers of her blog and book.
