I’ll be cooking on WGN 9 Monday, November 3rd—it’s going to be so much fun!
Watch me live on WGN’s Lunchbreak segment this Monday, November 3—I’ll be making my savory Torta Rustica and talking about my favorite local charities, just in time for the holiday season. Click the link below to get the full details!
Mark your calendars!
I’m excited to invite you to a little get-together—it’s right around the corner, so make sure to save the date! On Saturday, November 8, I’ll be at Hudson Grace in Glencoe for a cozy afternoon of book signing. You’ll get to taste my vanilla sifters and my favorite Italian fig cookies, too.
November is one of my favorite months in the kitchen!
Some of my favorite fall ingredients are making appearances this month: blue cheese, maple syrup, fresh herbs, and apple cider. Whether you’re looking for a nice weeknight dinner idea or a holiday showstopper, these recipes have you covered!

Hi, I'm Mary DiSomma.
I’ve been baking since I was a little girl. In fact, my Italian-American grandmother, mother, and aunts taught me everything I know. They were my "cooking school." In the kitchens of the women in my family, I inherited the tips and tricks of the generations. I continue cooking and baking their recipes to this day. In fact, I still make over 7,000 cookies every year just to give away to family and friends during the holidays!
